Research at Information Systems Department

        The Information Systems program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Syarif Hidayatullah University of Jakarta, is dedicated to advancing research in both theoretical and practical aspects of Information Systems, as well as exploring emerging fields such as data science and artificial intelligence. Our faculty conducts research across a diverse range of Information Systems topics, including Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Software Development Life Cycles, Data Mining, Geospatial Information Systems, Sharia Banking Systems, and Enterprise Architecture. These research initiatives not only enhance our understanding of Information Systems but also contribute to their practical applications in various management, business, and engineering contexts.

            Our program also places a strong emphasis on the intersection of IT and business, focusing on areas such as Digital Transformation and Innovation, Information Systems Management, and Information Processing. Additionally, we are at the forefront of research in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, tackling critical challenges in today’s data-driven landscape. Our researchers are particularly engaged in developing innovative methodologies and algorithms to extract valuable insights from complex data, with a special focus on Social Media Analytics related to religion. Through ongoing research and active participation in both national and international scholarly communities, we are committed to advancing the field of Information Systems and driving innovation in its many interdisciplinary applications.
